This is something of an attic of a web site.
Or maybe it’s more like the front porch of a friend I had in school.
His father was someone who never threw anything away. He also did many interesting things. In the cooler months, the porch was closed off with windows, and it was unheated. We would go out there, after school, and wander through the "old man's" lives. There were walkie-talkies from the Korean War, and collections of agates. He had binoculars, an authoratative microscope, stuffed fish, foreign coins and stamps, bullets, colored Depression glass, antler-handled knives, and a Tesla coil that looked like it meant business.
I think there were at least three large roll-top desks, one with a stuffed owl. The desks were also stuffed.
My family never had anything like this, nor had I ever seen most of it before...or since.
One thing I know. I'd rather be on his porch than this web site.
I’ll try. But those places only happen once.
